Cultural Venues
"Throughout the years, your donations have helped to initiate new programs and develop unique art workshops for children, particularly for those from underprivileged areas. The encounters with original works of art and the creative activity in art workshops continue to engage their imagination and curiosity, while also encouraging self-development and broadening their horizons", Professor Mordechai Omer, Director and Chief Curator, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
Lucerne Auditorium (KKL)
The Foundation's contribution enabled the construction of the wing shaped roof, which is the most spectacular architectural feature of Jean Nouvel's concert hall building in Lucerne.
The Tel Aviv Cinematheque
Providing the core funding for the establishment of the Doron Cinema Centre in 1973, the Foundation has been a leading supporter of the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, bringing the art of cinema to Israeli audiences of all ages. The Foundation continues its support of the annual documentary film festival and competitions and is closely involved in the planned transformation of the Cinematheque into the New Israel Cinema Centre.
Kunsthaus Zurich
Concern for photography as a form of contemporary art was the catalyst for the donation of "The Marc Rich Collection" of vintage photographs of historical significance to the Kunsthaus Zurich, which is the most important museum and exhibition hall of fine arts in Zurich. The collection is a selection of 74 photographs – mainly ‘vintage prints’ – tracing the course of art-photography since the mid-19th century. It spans an arc from the early pioneers of photography (Henry Fox Talbot, Charles Marville) via the Pictorialism of the ‘Photo Secession’ (Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen), ‘straight photography’ (Paul Strand, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams), Surrealism, Constructivism and Bauhaus (Man Ray, László Moholy-Nagy, Herbert Bayer) and the poetic, documentary Realism of the mid-20th century (Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank). The motives range from architecture and landscapes to sculptural objects and the sphere of human life.

Sponsorships of Young Talented Musicians and Artists
Another cultural project with an international dimension seeks to expose talented young musicians and vocalists to leading teachers and premiere artistic institutions throughout the world. Eager to showcase the best of Israeli theatre, the Foundation has assisted in translating critical drama and sponsored participation in prestigious theatre festivals throughout Eastern and Western Europe. Support of such programs as the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, the 14th International Harp Contest and the Promising Director Prize of the International Student Film Festival at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque exemplify but a few of the international cultural events encouraged by the Foundation.
Whether assisting in the training of young opera singers at the Metropolitan in New York, sponsoring international competitions and festivals, or supporting master classes for violinists in the Galilee, the Foundation has played a leading role in exposing world audiences to Israeli culture while exposing Israeli audiences to renowned talent and music trends from around the world.
In Spain, the Foundation maintained a broad-based cultural program of support for historical monument preservation, art exhibitions, cultural exchanges, children's choirs, musical and arts appreciation for young people, and showcasing talented young musicians with leading conductors and orchestras. Similar programs of music appreciation and encouragement of talented youth were supported in Switzerland, where the Foundation became a major partner in the development of the new Lucerne Auditorium.
Keshet Eilon-Violin Master Course
Under the artistic direction of Maestro Shlomo Mintz, Keshet Eilon provides master classes for promising young violinists of all nationalities. Internationally renowned violin masters are invited to this Galilee centre to conduct classes and give private instruction. In a unique program to refine skills, the art of violin playing is joined with the sport of archery, strengthening the technical ability and concentration used in both.
The Foundation helped to build a state-of-the-art concert hall and an extensive music library. These facilities will enable Keshet Eilon to continue to offer free public concerts while creating opportunities for young musicians to perform on a professional stage. The Foundation has also annually sponsored scholarships to ensure ethnic and religious diversity.
The Cameri Theatre, Israel
As Israel's first repertory theatre, the Cameri serves as a popular stage for original Israeli theatrical works and a forum for public discourse on controversial themes. Frequently audience discussions with writers, directors and actors follow performances. Believing in the importance of bringing original, and often controversial, Israeli theatre to the international stage, the Foundation has supported Cameri Theatre performances throughout Eastern and Western Europe and the United States, sponsoring their participation in various international festivals as well.
The Cameri Theatre has also performed plays highlighting contemporary topics before joint Israeli-Palestinian youth audiences with Foundation assistance. Discussions were held following the performances that deepened the participants' understanding of the emotions, attitudes and experiences evoked by the plays.
